We have assessed the proposed question for the Wales referendum to see whether voters could understand it. We have sent our report to the Secretary of State for Wales, who is responsible for deciding the question wording.
Referendum on voting system
The Bill on holding a referendum on changing the UK voting system has now had its Second Reading in the House of Commons. We have a role in running referendums and commenting on the questiion.
Pushing the annual canvass
Electoral Registration Officers are working hard to send out voter registration forms to every household in the country as part of the annual canvass. We have launched some tools, include a new image gallery and template press releases to help them to promote this.
