Are you ready for the general election?

A UK general election must take place by 3 June 2010. You may be standing as a candidate at this year's election, acting as an agent for a local candidate, or even thinking of setting up a new political party. Maybe you're planning to campaign on behalf of a party or candidate. Or you may be involved in the administration of the elections.

If so, our guidance pages contain the resources you need to help you follow the rules for parties and campaigners.

If you are involved in the running of elections you should visit our guidance for electoral administrators page.

Visit our general election page for information on how to register to vote or to find details as to when the count for each constituency will be held.
