Our work ethos

Corporate social responsibility

We recognise that our work has an effect on the environment. We are committed to continuous improvements in environmental performance and the prevention of pollution. We have a bronze award under the London Mayor's Green Procurement Code. We promote corporate social responsibility through ‘green’ events and initiatives, Fairtrade supplies and measures to reduce and offset our carbon footprint.  We actively promote the ‘give as you earn’ charitable donation scheme and provide paid time off for staff volunteering, voting and blood donation.

Retirement age

The Commission does not have a retirement age.

Working well together

We have a recognition agreement with the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) and work with staff trade union representatives to support good employee relations.
