Speaker's Committee

About  the Speaker’s Committee

The Speaker's Committee was established by the same Act of Parliament that created the Electoral Commission.

We are required to submit each year to the Speaker's Committee an estimate of income and expenditure, together with a five-year strategic plan. The Speaker's Committee may then modify these documents before presenting them to the House of Commons.

The reports detailing the Speaker's Committee's activities as well as minutes of meetings are available to view on the Speakers' Committee page on the Parliament website.
