We may undertake reviews of the external boundary of a district or county either at the request of the Department for Communities and Local Government, at the request of a local council or on our own initiative.
There are no current boundary reviews. If you think that such a review should take place in your area then you can write to us at the address below setting out clearly the issues and reasons for any review of external boundaries of your district or county council.
We hold a record of all boundary reviews conducted by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England between 1972 and 1992, when that organisation was dissolved. Details of these reviews are not available on this website but copies of individual reviews can be obtained by contacting us at:
