Jenny Watson, Chair of the Electoral Commission, said: “This afternoon the Government announced that the Electoral Registration and Administration (ERA) Bill is scheduled to be debated on 14 January 2013. This is welcome news.
“We have warned previously that it is essential the ERA Bill makes progress early in the New Year and will be monitoring it closely.”
