The Electoral Commission has been in dialogue with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) since 26 November and this afternoon (30 November) held further discussions with the CPS and Metropolitan Police Service (MPS). The Commission has now decided to refer matters to the MPS for them to consider whether an investigation should commence.
The Electoral Commission made the formal handover this afternoon during a meeting with the Metropolitan Police and CPS.
The Police will now review the contents of the report.
