Through the local authority, Electoral Education Ltd's Active Citizenship Project invited every candidate standing in local elections in NE Lincolnshire in 2003 to have their views on local issues included on their website.
Voluntary Service Belfast ran the Young Citizens in Action project using a variety of ways to encourage young people to vote in the 2003 NI Assembly elections.
The Fawcett Society ran 2 projects;
The Make Some Noise project used a combination of media campaigning in the run-up to local elections to encourage awareness of local democracy among women
The Value Your Vote website worked to inspire women and girls to engage with political life celebrating the 75th anniversary of the 1928 Equal Franchise Act.
Church Action on Poverty's 'Comic Democracy' project worked to raise awareness of government through a series of comics.
Staffordshire Learning Hub invited representatives to attend discussion sessions to promote the use of websites as a means of involving the community in democratic issues called E-democracy for Staffordshire Surfers.
Community Media Association provided training to community media projects to assist them in producing imaginative programming, while abiding by the regulations set by broadcasters during an election period.
