  • Quarter 3 2011: summary tables, analysis, downloads of donations, public funds and loans reported for the period July, August and September 2011
  • Quarter 2 2011: summary tables, analysis, downloads of donations, public funds and loans reported for the period April, May and June 2011;
  • Quarter 1 2011: summary tables, analysis, downloads of donations, public funds and loans reported for the period January, February and March 2011;
  • Quarter 4 2010: summary tables, analysis, downloads of donations, public funds and loans reported for the period October, November and December 2010;

PLEASE NOTE: these figures do not include all donations accepted by political parties. The law requires political parties only to report donations above £7,500 to the party HQ and above £1,500 to the party's accounting units. Before 1 January 2010, these thresholds were respectively £5,000 and £1,000.

Chart 1: Donations trend to political parties since 2004

This chart shows the trend of all reportable donations received by political parties from 2004 to date. Public funds and donations from impermissible and unidentifiable donors are not included.

Please note that the thresholds for reporting donations changed in Quarter 1 2010. To find out more please see the note at the top of the page.

In brackets in the legend is the name of the public body responsible to make the payment.

PLEASE NOTE: following the 2010 UK general election, the distribution of public funds has changed. For more information, please visit Parliament website.

The table below provides total for donations received by parties in 2010. Donations include cash, non-cash, donations from exempt trusts, visits, donations from impermissible and unidentifiable donors.

Please note that the reporting threshold changed in 2010. To find out more please see note at the top of the page.
