Electoral registration data collection

In September 2007 we issued a baseline performance survey (XLS) request to all 407 Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) in Great Britain requesting information in relation to four quantitative and four qualitative performance measures. An analysis of the baseline performance survey returns was published in May 2008. Please see our results and analysis page for more details.

We have now issued our Electoral registration data collection survey 2008 (XLS) for completion by EROs by 16 January 2009.

Election and referendum data collection

In April 2008 we issued a baseline performance survey (XLS) which outlined nine initial performance information collection areas for all Returning Officers (ROs) who held local government and Greater London Authority elections in May 2008. Please see our results and analysis page for more details.

Financial information survey

We launched the financial information survey (XLS) across Great Britain on 10 September 2007. EROs and ROs were asked to complete the survey and return to their relevant Devolved or English office by 31 July 2008. We are curently analysing this information in conjunction with CIPFA (the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants). An analysis report will be published on our results and analysis page towards the end of 2008.
