Election data collection
We consulted on a number of potential performance measures (PDF) relating to elections from October to December 2007. We reviewed the responses we received and developed a baseline performance survey (XLS) that we trialed at the local elections in England and Wales in May 2008.
Performance standards for Returning Officers in Great Britain
Following the survey, we have published our consultation paper on draft performance standards for Returning Officers (PDF) in September 2008. The consultation paper outlines draft performance standards for ROs and seeks views and comments on both the overall set of performance standards and the definition an format of individual standards. Appendix A of the consultation paper - Pro forma for responses (DOC) has also been provided in word format. The deadline for responses is 19 December 2008. The standards will be available to download from this page in early 2009.
