On 10 September 2007 we launched the first electoral administration financial information survey (XLS) across Great Britain. The development of the survey was supported by CIPFA (the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants) and will provide, for the first time, information on the costs involved in the electoral registration and election management process.
The next steps are to collate and analyse all the information in conjunction with CIPFA. An analysis report will be published at the end of the year.
