Last review notice pending removal in the event of non-response

Where you have sent both a first and second review notice to an elector and you have not received a response within a reasonable time from the date of the second notice, you must send the person a last review notice pending removal.1

This notification must be a letter delivered to the person’s address with a pre-addressed, pre-paid reply envelope included.2

The content of the notification must include:

  • The information set out in the first review notice3
  • The date of issue of the notice4
  • Confirmation that if the registration officer has not received the information requested within 14 days of the notice being issued
    • the ERO may remove the person’s entry from the register5
    • there would be no right of appeal against the registration officer’s decision in these circumstances6

Where you have issued a last review notice pending removal and you have not previously made a personal contact attempt, you must attempt a personal contact with the elector within 7 days of the issue date of the notice.7
