Rewards and benefits

On this page you can find out everything about the rewards and benefits we offer to our staff.

Pay is underpinned by our job evaluation scheme, which means our pay system is fair and transparent. Most new starters join at the advertised rate for the job and on the first anniversary of appointment increase to the year one rate. These are usually reviewed annually. We also offer a bonus and voucher scheme to reward exceptional performance.

New staff have a choice of the Civil Service pension scheme and associated benefits or a stakeholder pension.

We offer enhanced annual leave, starting at 27.5 days (plus public holidays) and rising to 30 days, plus bank holidays. We have enhanced family leave arrangements, as well as paid and unpaid special leave available in particular circumstances such as family arrangements, domestic emergencies, volunteering etc.

Health and wellbeing

Everyone has access to independent and confidential advice, support and counselling through our Employee Assistance Programme.  We also offer free annual flu jabs and pay for regular eye sight tests. You will join the Benenden healthcare scheme at no cost to you.

Other benefits

Other benefits include:

  • Childcare vouchers
  • Give as you earn
  • Interest free season ticket loan
  • Flexible benefit options – health screening, dental plan and charitable giving
  • Paid time off for blood donations, medical appointments and voting

  • Cycle to work scheme

Flexible working

We offer a range of working patterns, subject to business need, including part-time and job sharing. We also operate a flexible working hours scheme. Full time working is 36 hours per week. Our London office operates flexible team-based desk sharing in a modern, open plan environment with quiet spaces, meeting rooms and project-working areas.
