Voting by post

The deadline to apply for a postal vote for the elections taking place on Thursday 01 May 2025 was Monday 14 April 2025. You can apply for a postal vote in future elections.

If you have a postal vote

Your local council will send your postal voting pack after the deadline to become a candidate has passed. This is around three weeks before polling day.

You can contact your local council if you have not received your postal voting pack. Replacement packs can only be issued from Friday 25 April 2025 until 5pm on Thursday 01 May 2025.

Voter registration

The deadline to register to vote on Thursday 01 May 2025 was Friday 11 April 2025.

If you registered to vote before the deadline, then you will be able to vote in this election. Contact your council to check if you are on the register.
