Where you are not able to determine through the data-based review if an EU citizen is eligible to remain registered to vote in Police and Crime Commissioner elections, you must proceed to the correspondence review.1
The purpose of the correspondence review is to enable you to request such information as is necessary to enable you to make a determination under the new criteria. At the conclusion of the process, you are obliged to make a determination and to advise the elector of the outcome of the review.
Our guidance provides detail on the different stages of the correspondence review process, and the notices you must send depending on what response you receive from the contact you have made with the elector.
