Voter registration

Great Britain's electoral registers

On 14 December 2011 we published a report on the completeness and accuracy of Great Britain's electoral registers.

Individual electoral registration

In June 2011 the UK Government published a White Paper outlining its proposals for the future of electoral registration. These build on the system of individual electoral registration (IER) described in the Political Parties and Elections Act 2009.

The UK referendum result

The final result of the UK-wide referendum was declared on 7 May 2011, delivering a 'no' to changing the UK Parliamentary voting system.
