We have published our guidance for the UK Parliamentary general election on 12 December 2019.

The regulated period for parties started on 13 December 2018 (365 days before polling day) and ends on 12 December 2019.

There are rules that control spending by political parties during regulated periods. This page also contains guidance on how to comply with the rules, including the forms that you need.

We have published our guidance for the European Parliamentary elections scheduled to take place on 23 May 2019.

The elections will take place in other EU Member States between Thursday 23 and Sunday 26 May 2019.

The regulated period for political parties and non-party campaigners will extend back to 23 January 2019.
