Candidate spending returns publication

On Tuesday 18 March 2025, we will be publishing a dataset which includes the headline figures for the spending incurred and donations accepted by candidates at the 2024 UK parliamentary general election.

The data will be published through an interactive tool reflecting the figures as reported by candidates in their spending returns submitted to Returning Officers.

Regulatory support team advice surgeries

In the run up to the May 2025 local elections, we are hosting advice surgeries for candidates and agents to support them with the candidate spending laws, practical aspects of their campaign, and completing spending return. The surgeries will provide a 20-minute, one-to-one slot for any candidates or agents who have questions or would like advice or guidance.

If you are aware of any potential candidates and agents who may benefit from attending this webinar, please forward this information to them.

The surgeries will take place on 8th, 9th and 10th April 2025. If you would like to register, please complete this form.

If you have any questions, please contact [email protected] .
