Donations and loans to regulated organisations and individuals
Summary box
Some people and organisations engaged in politics are called regulated donees. These are:
holders of some elective offices
members of political parties
groups of party members (also known as members associations)
Regulated donees
Regulated donees are subject to controls on the donations and loans that they can accept in connection with their political activities in their capacity as a regulated donee.
Regulated donees must report to us on donations and loans they accept. Reports must be made within 30 days of accepting the donation or entering into the loan. We publish these reports every month.
