We appreciate that some ROs may be reviewing their risk assessments in light of the UK terrorism threat level being increased to severe. Security advice is available from government and policing leads, and your Commission team will be ready to provide advice and support on managing unforeseen circumstances at short notice.
We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best of luck for the coming days and to thank you and your staff for all the work that has been put in to prepare for the May polls. As always, we recognise and appreciate the significant amount of work that has been undertaken. The important work you do remains vital to ensuring that voters are able to take part safely and confidently, and that those votes are then counted in a way which delivers results that are accurate and can be trusted.
