Equality of votes

Mayor of London

If two or more candidates have the same number of votes, and a further vote for either would see the candidate elected, the Greater London Returning Officer (GLRO) must decide between them by drawing lots.1   

The GLRO will decide the method of drawing lots. 

Constituency Assembly member election

If two or more candidates have the same number of votes, and a further vote for either would see the candidate elected, the Constituency Returning Officer (CRO) must decide between them by drawing lots.2   

The CRO will decide the method of drawing lots.

London-wide Assembly member election  

By the nature of the London-wide election it means that there would not be an instance of an equality of votes.
