In the run-up to elections, you’ll see candidates, political parties and campaigners campaigning in different ways to try and influence how you vote.

Getting messages to voters is an important part of the democratic process. Candidates, political parties and campaigners need to communicate with you to explain their views and policies, so that you’re informed when you vote.

However, the rules around election campaigning can be complex. That’s why we’ve worked with other organisations to help you understand how candidates, political parties and other organisations campaign for your vote. We want you to be confident whenever you encounter campaign material.
